St. George’s downtown roundabout at Main Street and 200 North will soon feature “Rip Tide” by Diego Harris, a new public art centerpiece chosen by local residents.
This selection, held by the Art Around the Corner Foundation, invited community input and reflects the city’s commitment to making public art a shared experience.
“Rip Tide” is admired for its energetic design, capturing the spirit and rhythm of St. George and promising to become a standout downtown symbol.
The sculpture’s unveiling will launch the 2026–2027 Outdoor Sculpture Gallery on March 28, transforming downtown into an open-air art walk featuring dozens of climate-adapted sculptures.
Festivities include An Evening with the Artists on March 27 and a free gallery opening day celebration.
The annual St. George Art Festival follows April 3–4, featuring artists, entertainment, and family activities, along with the Art Attack 1 Mile & 5K race on April 4.
These vibrant events highlight St. George’s dedication to community art and local pride.
