Five of the Best Food Trucks in St. George |
Local barbecue and street tacos worth adding to your next food outing |

Some of the best meals in St. George come through a service window, with a paper tray replacing the dinner plate.
If you’re ready to shake up your usual lunch routine, these five food trucks belong on your shortlist.
Think of this as a guide to five standout choices, rather than a definitive ranking: your favorite will depend on what you’re craving.
1. St George Taco Truck brings authentic Mexican street food to the local mobile dining scene.
Start with carne asada or al pastor tacos, then add cilantro, onions, lime, and your preferred salsa.
It’s an appealing pick when you want straightforward tacos with plenty of ways to customize each bite.
2. Big Lud’s BBQ is the stop for traditional Texas-style barbecue.
The family-owned operation serves smoked brisket, pulled pork, and barbecue chicken, making it a natural choice for a hearty meal.
Go hungry, choose the meat that calls your name, and let the smoke do the talking.
3. BBQ By Joe offers another compelling reason to follow the local barbecue circuit.
Its mobile trailer appears at St. George farmers markets and Washington County events, with a creative approach that includes vegetarian and vegan barbecue.
Ask about the current menu and give the house sauces a look, especially the Southwestern-inspired St. George Green.
4. The Corndog Company makes a familiar favorite feel like an occasion.
The St. George truck serves hand-dipped, honey-glazed corn dogs made fresh, including the footlong Epic and smaller Mini.
Cheese options and deep-fried desserts round out the menu, so this is an easy choice for a casual family treat.
5. Love Me Foods covers comfort-food cravings with chicken tenders, fries, and fish and chips featuring Alaskan cod.
The mobile business serves the St. George market along with other regional locations.
Check where it’s appearing before you head out, then pick the basket that fits your appetite.
Food trucks move, menus change, and private bookings can affect public service.
Check each operator’s latest schedule before making the drive.
Bring a friend, compare a couple of orders, and turn your next meal into a little local adventure. |

BBQ By Joe pops up at the Washington County events pretty regularly. Worth keeping an eye out if you haven't tried it yet.
al pastor tacos from a truck window beat almost any sit down restaurant in my opinion. Something about eating off a paper tray just works.
NathanPSame. There is something about standing outside eating a taco off a paper tray that just hits different. No idea why it tastes better that way but it does.
Nice little roundup. Would love to see them do one for breakfast spots next, food trucks or not.
debbie_stgeorgeYes breakfast would be great. There are a couple of spots I know of that do breakfast burritos on weekend mornings but I feel like nobody talks about them.
The Corndog Company does deep fried desserts too? How did I not know this. Going this weekend.
Aaron ChristensenThe fried Oreos are worth the trip alone honestly. Let us know what you think after the weekend.
Took my mom to Big Lud's for her birthday last year and she talked about the pulled pork for weeks. Family owned places just do it better.
Honestly surprised Love Me Foods made the list over some others around town but to each their own I guess.
The St. George Green sauce from BBQ By Joe is really good. Glad it got a mention.
I always forget food trucks can get booked for private events and then show up and find nothing. Good reminder at the end to check first.
Kim_87Happened to me with Big Luds once. Drove over and they were at a private event that weekend. Check Instagram before you go, that is the only way to know.
Two BBQ trucks on the same list is fine by me. More options the better out here.
Love Me Foods has good fish and chips. Alaskan cod makes a difference, you can taste it.
Brenda K.Totally agree on the cod. A lot of places use cheaper fish and it really shows. Nice when a food truck actually cares about the ingredient.
St George Taco Truck has been around forever and still hits. Al pastor with extra lime is the move.
Wish they had included where exactly each truck parks on a regular basis. That would have been more helpful than just saying check their schedule.
Tammy L.Really fair point. Even just a neighborhood or intersection would help. Telling people to check the schedule feels a bit lazy when you are already writing a guide.
The Corndog Company is a hit with my kids every time. Those footlongs are massive though so one is usually plenty.
Mike FentonHa yes my son thought he could eat two and deeply regretted that decision. One is definitely the move.
Never heard of BBQ By Joe but vegan barbecue sounds interesting. Might have to check that out at the next farmers market.
rachel_stgI tried their St. George Green sauce last summer at the Washington County fair and it was really good. Worth tracking down for sure.
Big Lud's BBQ is no joke. Got the brisket last month and it was genuinely some of the best I've had in southern Utah.
