Every fall, something special happens at Vernon Worthen Park in the heart of St. George. White canopies pop up across the grass, the irresistible aroma of street food fills the air, and neighbors gather to discover something new.

It's the kind of Saturday that reminds you why living in Southern Utah is so special.

And on Saturday, November 14, 2026, MOD the Modern Market returns for its ninth event, bringing together local creativity, small businesses, and a whole lot of community spirit.

More Than Just Another Outdoor Market

What started four years ago as a simple idea has grown into one of Southern Utah's most anticipated shopping experiences.

The concept? Give talented small-business owners a place to shine, introduce them to the community, and watch something wonderful happen.

Today, MOD the Modern Market features a carefully curated collection of local artisans, independent boutiques, specialty vendors, and food trucks. You'll discover everything from handmade gifts and stylish clothing to unique home décor and one-of-a-kind treasures you won't find in a big-box store.

And with Christmas just around the corner, the timing couldn't be better!

Supporting Local Dreams, One Purchase at a Time

"It was created to help small businesses grow," says market owner Rachell Torgerson.

That mission remains at the heart of everything MOD does.

For many entrepreneurs, participating in the market is about much more than making a sale. It's an opportunity to introduce their products, share their stories, build relationships, and connect with customers who appreciate the passion behind locally owned businesses.

Some vendors who got their start at MOD have gone on to develop loyal followings throughout Southern Utah.

When you shop at MOD, you're not simply buying a product. You're supporting someone's dream, encouraging local entrepreneurship, and helping strengthen the community we all call home.

A Perfect Saturday in Southern Utah

There's something magical about an outdoor market in November.

The temperatures are comfortable, the scenery is beautiful, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to spend a few hours browsing, sampling delicious food, and catching up with friends.

Bring your family, invite a neighbor, or turn it into a fun holiday shopping date.

With free admission and a welcoming community atmosphere, MOD offers an enjoyable way to discover new businesses while supporting familiar local favorites.

And who knows? You might just find that perfect Christmas gift you've been searching for.

Took my mom to one of these a couple years ago and she still talks about the jewelry she found there. Really good vendors.

Donna PickettSame thing happened with my sister. She bought a bracelet at one and still gets compliments on it all the time. The jewelry vendors they pick are really something.

Nice to see local businesses getting a real platform. Beats scrolling online for the same generic stuff.

Perfect timing with Christmas coming up. Way more fun than going to the mall.

Good in theory but parking around Worthen on a busy Saturday can be rough. Just a heads up if you're driving in.

Greg TalbottGood point. I usually just park a couple blocks away on 200 East and walk over. Adds maybe five minutes but way less stressful than circling the lot.

Would love to see a list of vendors before the event so I can plan a little. Never sure what to expect.

Went last year mostly for the food and ended up buying a bunch of stuff for Christmas gifts. Snuck up on me.

Does anyone know if there will be food trucks again this time? That part is always my favorite.

Jess MorenoThey've had food trucks at every one I've been to so I'd be surprised if they skipped them this time. Pretty sure it's a regular part of the event.

I bought a candle from a vendor at the last one and still burning it. Really good quality stuff at these markets.

Carla DunnWhich vendor was it? I always grab a candle or two at these things and love finding ones that actually last. Always feel like a gamble at bigger stores.

Mike FerrellRight? Four years but nine events already means they've been doing two or three a year. It's grown so fast. Remember when it was way smaller?

sandy_stgAgreed. Enough shade, good open space, and right in the middle of town. Hard to beat it for a market like this.
