39th Annual Sears Art Show and Sale: A Celebration of Creativity |
This year's Robert N. and Peggy Sears Invitational Art Show & Sale is set to captivate art enthusiasts this President’s Day weekend at Utah Tech University’s Sears Art Museum. |
The 39th Annual Robert N. and Peggy Sears Invitational Art Show & Sale is poised to enchant art lovers once again at Utah Tech University’s Sears Art Museum.
Opening with a Gala Reception on Friday, February 13, 2026, the exhibition will be open to the public from February 14 through March 28, 2026.
This esteemed event continues its tradition of showcasing over 100 artists from across the American West, presenting approximately 200 works that span traditional, contemporary, and sculptural media.
Among the featured artists is Araceli Selytin, whose contributions add depth to the already diverse lineup.
The overwhelming response to this year’s call for entries underscores the Invitational’s reputation as one of Utah’s most competitive and well-attended art exhibitions.
Organizers received 1,115 submissions, from which a jury selected 235 works, emphasizing the high caliber of art on display.
Founded by Robert N. Sears (1915–1995), a retired vice president of Phillips Petroleum, the Invitational was established to provide Southern Utah with access to high-quality visual art.
His vision, supported by Peggy Sears and Utah Tech University, has grown into a cultural cornerstone, drawing collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts from across the region annually.
For the community, the Invitational offers a rare opportunity to experience a wide range of museum-quality work without leaving Southern Utah.
The exhibition has become a reliable winter-season highlight for St. George’s arts calendar, bringing energy to the campus and the local creative economy during the quieter months.
The Sears Art Museum is located on the Utah Tech University campus in St. George.
