Southwest Symphony's 'Arabian Nights' to Enchant St. George with Scheherazade

Celebrated masterpiece and emerging talent converge in a night of musical storytelling

The Southwest Symphony is set to captivate audiences with its upcoming performance, "Arabian Nights," on February 6, 2026, at Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah.

 

This eagerly anticipated concert will feature Rimsky-Korsakov's evocative composition, "Scheherazade," a symphonic suite that brings to life the tales of the One Thousand and One Nights through rich orchestration and vivid storytelling.

 

Adding to the evening's allure, the performance will showcase the Gold Medalist of the Southwest Symphony’s Young Artist Competition, highlighting the exceptional talent emerging within the community.

 

Concert sponsors include the State Bank of Southern Utah and the Eccles Foundation, whose support underscores the community's commitment to the arts.

 

Prior to the main event, attendees will be treated to a pre-show performance by the Hurricane High School Orchestra, offering a glimpse into the promising future of local musical talent.
