Anyone know if they sell single day tickets or is it a full weekend pass situation? Trying to figure out logistics.
NatePI'm pretty sure you can get single day passes. Check the Black Desert Resort site directly, I think they break it down by day. But don't wait too long, last year some days sold out.
The live entertainment in between rounds is actually really fun. It is not just standing around watching golf the whole time.
Diane ChuThat is a good point. My buddy who doesn't even follow golf came with us one year and said the whole vibe kept him entertained. It's more of an event than just a tournament.
PGA Tour event right here in our backyard. Wild how much this area has grown in the last few years.
ryan_sg84Right? I moved here in 2018 and honestly would not have believed you if you told me we'd have a PGA Tour stop here by now. St George just keeps surprising me.
My husband and I went two years ago and had no idea what to expect. We ended up staying an extra day. Great time.
Brenda KowalskiThat extra day detail says it all honestly. We did the same thing our first year. There is more to do around there than you expect going in.
Hope the boutique eateries and upscale accommodations do not price out the locals who have lived here forever.
skeptical_steve_utThat's a fair concern. Seen it happen in other towns. Hopefully enough of the new spots are reasonably priced. A few of the newer food trucks at least seem pretty accessible from what I've seen.
Autumn weather in St George is honestly perfect for this. Not too hot finally and the scenery is gorgeous.
Curious which nonprofit they are spotlighting for healthcare access. Would love to know more about that part of it.
Greg FentonI was wondering the same thing. If anyone finds out I'd love to know. Always nice when tournaments use the spotlight to actually highlight local organizations doing good work.
I live about two miles from the resort and the buzz around town right now is real. People are pumped.
lori_from_ivinsHa I bet. I drove through Ivins last weekend and could already see a lot of prep work going on out that way. Looks like it's going to be a big production.
Real estate around Black Desert has already gone up a lot. This tournament just keeps adding fuel to that fire.
Glad they are including activities for kids this year. Makes it a lot easier to bring the whole family out.
Carol BinghamSame. Last time we went it was kind of adult focused and my kids got bored fast. If they actually have stuff for younger ones this year we will definitely make a day of it.
Match play format makes it so much more exciting to watch in person. Every hole actually matters.
Nice to see Ivins getting some recognition. People forget how much is out here beyond St George proper.
Good for the local economy but the traffic on Tuacahn Drive during these events is a nightmare. Just saying.
Went last year and the food trucks alone were worth showing up for. Already planning to go back this fall.
Black Desert is such a cool venue for this. Those red rock views while watching pros tee off is hard to beat.
