He completed pre-medical studies at Southern Utah University, medical school at the University of Utah, ophthalmology residency at Penn State University, and Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Michigan. He is an expert in refractive surgeries (LASIK and PRK), all types of corneal transplants (DMEK, DSAEK, DALK, and PKP), and Cataract surgeries (including multifocal and toric intraocular lenses and laser-assisted cataract surgery).
