Beginning with the opening of our pain management group, Southwest Spine and Pain, in 2009 and quickly growing to nearly 20 locations across multiple specialties, we are excited to see this vision take shape.

Vista Healthcare Sports Spine and Injury Center is located in our St. George location at our flagship Vista Medical Center. Led by Best of Southern Utah winners chiropractor, Russ Jepson, D.C., and physical therapists, Sylvan Johnson, DPT, and Alec Wall, DPT. This innovative clinic specializes in neck and back pain, chronic pain syndromes, acute injuries, headaches, auto accident injuries, sports injuries, balance and coordination troubles, concussions, pre and post-surgical care, decompression traction for bulging and herniated discs, soft tissue therapies, cupping, acoustic shock wave therapy, and massage therapy.

Alec Wall, DPT earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Health Psychology from Utah Tech University and went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah. Alec enjoys treating extremity-based conditions and injuries, including post-surgical and chronic overuse cases. However, he values the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients and is passionate about helping each individual achieve optimal function and performance. He believes in a collaborative, patient-centered approach and works closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Jon Hermansen, DPT, Cert. MDT obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement Science from Utah State University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He holds advanced certifications in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT/McKenzie Method), LSVT BIG, and Personalized Blood Flow Restriction through Owens Recovery Science. Jon believes that effective care begins with genuine connection. He takes time to understand each patient’s unique needs, partners with them to set meaningful and achievable goals, and focuses on helping patients regain function, confidence, and long-term mobility.
