The Every Kid Outdoors initiative recently united more than 120 local students and hundreds of families at Sand Hollow State Park for a day of outdoor adventure and learning on April 24, 2026.

 

Young participants took part in kayaking, fishing, and ranger-led educational activities aimed at nurturing a lifelong love for nature.

 

This lively event is part of Utah’s Every Kid Outdoors Adventure Challenge, a statewide push encouraging children ages 3 to 18 to explore the outdoors through a series of 14 creative challenges, all documented in an Adventure Challenge Passport.

 

With its warm blue waters and iconic red sandstone, Sand Hollow State Park near St. George serves as a hub for boating, fishing, and OHV rides on Sand Mountain–quickly accessible to both locals and visitors.
