Quote Of The Day |
"Believe you can and you're halfway there." - Theodore Roosevelt |
St. George offers families a welcoming way to bike together, thanks to miles of paved paths winding past parks, schools, and neighborhoods.
There’s no need to haul bikes to distant trailheads — these local routes provide safe, traffic-free riding for all ages, from toddlers with training wheels to teens on road bikes.
The trail system’s gentle grades and wide lanes are especially inviting along the Virgin River, where parents often park near playgrounds, ride short out-and-back segments, and pause for snacks under shady trees.
Kids gain skills and confidence, while older siblings venture ahead before circling back.
More adventurous families can tackle sections that climb toward mesa overlooks, rewarding short efforts with expansive views.
Beyond weekend adventures, many residents use these trails for daily errands, school commutes, and fresh air breaks — making biking a seamless, enjoyable part of local life. Read More... |

What began as a simple way for growers to sell extra produce has turned into one of the area's most beloved weekend routines. On Saturday mornings, families with wagons, college students with canvas totes and early risers fresh off the trail all seem to end up wandering the same rows of colorful booths.
More Than a Produce Run
Today's markets are equal parts grocery stop and neighborhood meetup. Shoppers might arrive with a list for lettuce, eggs and tomatoes, but they often leave with a new favorite bread, a bar of handmade soap and a couple of local business cards tucked in their bag. Read More... |

Ask around at a St. George ballgame, church hallway or neighborhood barbecue and you will hear the same promise over and over again from neighbors who care.
Across Washington County, residents are backing that promise up by quietly giving time, talent and muscle to local nonprofits that keep neighbors fed, housed, healthy and connected.
At Switchpoint Community Resource Center, volunteers help serve meals, sort donations and support families working toward long-term stability.
Some come once a month with a group, others slip in on a weekday morning before work, and a few retirees treat their regular shift like a second career. Read More... |
