Hurricane, Utah—A local nonprofit, Self-Help Homes, is making homeownership possible for dozens of families in Washington County and beyond.
Since 2000, the group has helped build over 636 homes across Utah, including 59 in Washington County within the last eight years alone.
In 2024, Self-Help Homes launched 30 new projects and completed 25, focusing on low- and very low-income families.
Through the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program, participants work side by side—gaining sweat equity and building lasting connections.
